I remember the day that I made up my mind to enlist.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n \n\t\n<\/p>\n \n\t \n\tI said, "Yes, Steve, I do; but it is like this—ever since you and I went to town the other day I have been thinking this thing over." "Thinking what?" "Why, about the war, of course—I can't get it out of my head.<\/font>\n<\/p>\n \n\tThere is going to be the devil of a scrap over there—and say, boy! I've got to get into it! When I hear of what Germany is doing to poor little Belgium it makes my blood boil—I have worked with the Germans, and I have a little idea of what it would mean to turn the world over to them—so I'm off to draw my time."<\/font>\n<\/p>\n \n\tWell, when I came back from the boss's cabin, I found Steve packing up, and I said, "Why, what's the matter, Steve?"
